Brighton Guide:
Brighton is a very popular seaside tourist destination with around 8million tourists visiting every year. However it is more than just a seaside resort and is much of a vibrant city with a diverse population.
Things to see and do in Brighton
It is essential to take a walk around the seafront from the Hove in the west to Brighton Marina in the east. The Marina is popular as being the largest of its kind in all of Europe.
Located on a hill of some height above the city is the Brighton Racecourse, which is not only a great place to visit on its own but also provides some glorious views of the city many feet below it.
One of the major attractions of the city is the Royal Pavilion, which was created by John Nash and has an Indian Mogul exterior. It is one of those sights that help with Brighton’s standard recognition, with its minarets and onion domes. It is possible to take a guided tour of the building and refreshments are also available in the Queen Adelaide tea room of the palace which is on the whole, very luxuriously decorated.
In typical English culture is the Brighton Pier, which dates back to the 1890s. the fun involved ranges from roller coasters to children’s rides as well as video games, sweet and candy outlets as well as bars and restaurants for a refreshing meal and drink along the waterfront.
